I really enjoyed watching him in anything he did. He will be missed.

Anyone remember when he channeled Fidel Castro in an episode of The Twilight Zone? Much wider range than he's ever been given credit for.

Another loss of a fine actor.

AC, That is the acting part of his that I think of after Columbo. Not a great TZ episode but his work was tops.

Will sorely be missed. He was always good in anything. I do remember the TZ episode, but Columbo will always do it for me. I just loved the byplay between Columbo and the killer, the snide looks he would get as a bumbling incompetent, all the while laying his little traps once he was on the scent.

Wonderful stuff.

Don't forget his strangely enthralling roll in "Wings of Desire" back in the 80s where he played himself but might possibly also be a fallen angel.

Great movies, Dan. I remember them well.

The news made me nostalgic for Columbo. I think I need to add a season to my Netflix queue.
