The Challenge Begins

The Ashedits Challenge is off to a kickin' start. Keith Rawson is up first with his story, "Life on the Mesa." Drop by, read the story and, as Elaine said, leave some comments that are “constructive, polite and truthful."

David-you are a gem. If everyone had your good manner, what a wonderful world it would be.

Happy Birthday Mate. I could tell you about my 39th birthday but I can't remember it. The 40th, however...a great year ahead of you, I'm sure.

That's very kind Patti, thank you.

Paul, Yeah, I plan on pulling a Jack Benny and staying 39... No 40 for me.

Happy B-Day! But don't throw away 40 too soon. 40 is a great birthday. You get lots of prezzies and all kinds of attention. It's the day after your 40th birthday that kicks your ass. So what you need is a time machine to relive that 40th b-day each year.

Corey, Thanks but I'm not sure I will look forward to the Four-O. Hey, I have been trying to get to your blog site but have not had any luck.

Hey man, I'm back to blogging. Let me know what you think of the Louis L'Amour "interview" I posted. I'd love to see you write some flash fiction based on the account of the gunfight he witnessed! Seems like an idea you'd be hip to. :)

Happy Birthday, David, and you will have many more. Don't fret the 40.

Chris, It would be but reading stories for BTAP, my western novel, and a second I've started with a friend has me tapped at the moment. I will be headed over to read your post and I appreciate the invite.

Barbara, I fret, I fret but thanks.

Frank, Thanks and please have a second and third.

I think Blogger had a scheduled outage yesterday evening. Should be okay now. If not please comment here to that effect. Thanks, David!

Corey, It was me and my bumbling illiterate computer skills. All's good now.

I must have been out to lunch that day.

A very happy belated 39th birthday.

Hope the day went well.

And don't sweat the 40th, I'm sure your family and friends will find a way to completely embarrass in the run up to it.

At least mine did.

OMG, I'll be turning 44 in a couple of months.

This unexpectedly turned into a b-day post thanks to my sister. Thanks G and I’m sure forty will be fine... maybe.
